With a vision to provide progressive solutions to the contract manufacturing needs of quality-driven pharmaceutical companies, E.L. Laboratories, Inc. was established in 1996 by Emerenciana Lingad-Bautista, a pioneer of the modern Philippine pharmaceutical industry.

After topping the 1950 Pharmaceutical Board Examination, Mrs. Bautista first co-founded Associated Pharmaceuticals, Inc. in 1952, the first Filipino company to manufacture I.V. fluids in plastic pouches. In 1968, she founded Elin Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a top ranking Filipino pharmaceutical company with expertise on sterile and aseptic liquid dosage forms.
