PH President and PhilHealth President and CEO Dr. Edwin Mercado visited The Medical City to witness firsthand how expanded PhilHealth benefits are helping more Filipinos access quality healthcare.

The delegation was welcomed by Dr. Stuart Bennett, President and Group CEO of The Medical City, and Dr. Ruben Kasala, EVP and CEO of The Medical City Ortigas, who led officials through the Alfredo R.A. Bengzon Patient Access Ward and Emergency Department. During the visit, patients and families shared how PhilHealth support helped ease the cost of their care and hospitalization.

The visit highlights the shared commitment of the government, PhilHealth, and healthcare institutions like The Medical City, in improving access to essential healthcare services for every Filipino.
