The Cagayan Valley Center for Health Development, in cooperation with the Southern Isabela Medical Center's Department of Dermatology and Venereology and Philippine Dermatological Society Northern Luzon Chapter successfully held an insightful STI/HIV Forum: Syndromic Management of Venereal Diseases.
The event was graced by notable attendees, including Dr. Amelita M. Pangilinan, MPH, CESO III, Director IV of the Cagayan Valley Center for Health Development, Dr. Ma. Theresa Dalmacio, head of the LINGAP Unit, who represented Undersecretary of Health, Universal Health Care – Health Services Cluster, Area 1 North and Central Luzon, and the concurrent Medical Center Chief II at the Southern Isabela Medical Center, Dr. Glenn Mathew G. Baggao, and Dr. Kathreena Dadural-Mendillo, FPOGS. The forum featured esteemed speakers led by Dr. Louella Fatima R. Ramos-Bascos, MD, FPDS, APSVI, Chair of the SIMC Dermatology and Venereology Department.
Throughout the forum, participants from different primary health care facilities in Cagayan Valley incuding online attendees from Batanes demonstrated active engagement, particularly during the dynamic Q&A sessions and interactive workshops. Attendees gained valuable knowledge and enhanced their understanding of the syndromic management of sexually transmitted infections.
The forum ended with optimism that it will have a positive impact on the participants’ patients.
