🐱 Is Your Cat Struggling to Urinate? It Could Be Idiopathic Cystitis. 🐾

🚨 Dog Owners, Please Read: Pyometra Can Be Deadly! 🚨

Did you know that pyometra is a life-threatening infection of the uterus that can affect unspayed female dogs? It can develop suddenly and rapidly—and if left untreated, it can be fatal.

💔 What is Pyometra?
Pyometra is a severe bacterial infection that causes the uterus to fill with pus. It usually occurs a few weeks after a female dog’s heat cycle.

🔍 Watch for these warning signs:
• Lethargy or weakness
• Vomiting or loss of appetite
• Increased thirst and urination
• Swollen abdomen
• Vaginal discharge (sometimes not visible in “closed” pyometra)
• Fever

🩺 This is an emergency! If you notice any of these signs, take your dog to the vet immediately. Treatment often requires emergency surgery (spay) and intensive care.

The safest and most effective way to prevent pyometra is by spaying your dog before her first or second heat cycle.
