✂️ Types of Cesarean Incisions Explained

Not all C-sections look the same! The type of incision your doctor makes can depend on your baby’s position, your health, and how urgent the delivery is. Here’s a quick breakdown 👇

1️⃣ Low Transverse (Bik1ni Cut)
➡️ A horizontal cut just above the p***c area.
✅ Most common and preferred type.
💛 Heals faster, less visible scar, and safer for future pregnancies.

2️⃣ Low Vertical Incision
➡️ A small vertical cut in the lower part of the uterus.
💛 Used when more space is needed but still avoids the upper uterus.
⚠️ Slightly higher risk of tearing in future pregnancies compared to the bikini cut.

3️⃣ Classical Incision
➡️ A vertical cut made higher up on the uterus.
💛 Usually done only in emergencies or when the baby’s in an unusual position.
⚠️ Recovery is longer, and it increases risk for future uterine rupture.
