The Bureau of Fire Protection Region 1, under the leadership of FSSUPT ANTONIO N RAZAL JR, DSC, Acting Regional Director, extends its deepest gratitude to the AFPMBAI, through the support of the BFP NHQ Health Service, for the generous donation of essential medical equipment, to wit:

1 ECG
1 ULTRASOUND WITH ULTRASOUND PROBE
1 BP500
1 Dental Chair with Sanitation System Dental Care
1 Low Speed Angle (Latch Type)
1 Light Cure Machine (pen type)

These contributions will significantly strengthen and enhance the implementation of the BFP Region 1 Health Service programs, particularly those aligned with PhilHealth YAKAP formerly known as PhilHealth Konsulta. The equipment will play a vital role in promoting preventive care, improving healthcare access, and ensuring that BFP personnel remain physically fit and mission-ready to serve the public.

The daily blood pressure monitoring initiative by the BFP R1 Health Service stands as a proactive effort to safeguard the health and well-being of every firefighter. As one of the core programs under our health service, it emphasizes early detection and timely intervention, helping to prevent potentially life-threatening complications such as hypertension and other cardiovascular diseases.

This simple yet powerful routine reminds us that while we dedicate our lives to protecting others, we must also prioritize our own health. A healthy firefighter is a reliable protector — and our mission begins with taking care of ourselves.

Aligned with the principles of the PhilHealth Konsulta Program or PhilHealth YAKAP, which champions preventive healthcare and wellness, this daily practice reinforces the value of regular check-ups and health screenings. By integrating blood pressure monitoring into our daily duties, we are not only ensuring our personal safety but also enhancing our capacity to serve our communities with strength, resilience, and readiness.

BFP R1 Steps into Medical Advancement

From manual BP Monitoring to Digital Innovation, BFP R1 Health Service Section now uses the BP500 device generously donated by AFPMBAI to ensure accurate, quick, and non-invasive monitoring of hypertension and cardiovascular risks.

This is a step forward in promoting the health of every firefighter — because in an “Alisto’t Nagkakaisang Rehiyon 1,” health is priority, and readiness begins with wellness.
