Bakit Mahalaga ang ERIG at HRIG? 💉

Ang ERIG (Equine Rabies Immunoglobulin) at HRIG (Human Rabies Immunoglobulin) ay napakahalaga lalo na sa Category III bites — tulad ng malalalim na kagat, multiple wounds, o kagat sa ulo, mukha, at kamay.

Rabies ay 100% nakamamatay kapag lumabas na ang sintomas. Kaya’t mahalagang maagapan agad.

Bakit sila mahalaga?
1. Agarang proteksyon – Gumagana agad habang hinihintay pa ng katawan ang bisa ng anti-rabies vaccine.
2. Neutralizer – Pinapatay nila ang virus na maaaring nasa sugat o paligid nito.
3. Pang-severe bites (Category III) – Para sa malalim na kagat, sugat sa ulo, leeg, kamay, o kung bata ang nakagat.
4. Mas mataas ang survival rate – Kapag may ERIG/HRIG + bakuna, halos zero ang tsansa na magkaroon ng rabies.
