Philippine Red Cross Cavite Chapter - Silang Branch Philippine Red Cross Cavite Chapter - Silang Branch is an autonomous, non-government and a non-profit humanitarian organization.

The branch and extension office of the Philippine Red Cross Cavite Chapter located in the Municipality of Silang, Province of Cavite delivering Red Cross services closer to the Caviteรฑos. Born officially in 1947, Philippine Red Cross (PRC), a member of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, has roots that trace back to the revolutionary days. It is committed to providing quality life-saving services that protect life and dignity, especially of indigent Filipinos in vulnerable situations. The Philippine Red Cross is made up of men and women from all walks of life. It is the tale of hundreds of thousands of ordinary people who devoted their time and resources to help the poorest of the poor. They are professionally trained to lend a helping hand to those in need โ€“ whoever, whenever, and wherever they may be. The PRC has been established 60 years ago. Before, the PRC used to be involved only in providing blood and in disaster-related activities and short-term palliatives. Now it also focuses on a holistic approach to uplift the condition of the most vulnerable and a wider array of humanitarian services. At present, the PRC provides six major services: Blood Services, Disaster Management, Safety Services, Community Health and Nursing, Social Services, and the Volunteer Services. All of them embody the fundamental principles of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement โ€“ humanity, impartiality, neutrality, independence, voluntary service, unity, and universality. These values guide and inspire all Red Cross staff and volunteers, to whom being a Red Crosser is more than just a philosophy but a way of life

The Philippine Red Cross Cavite Chapter โ€“ Silang Branch, together with WISAR Cavite Chapter, successfully held a Basic Rope Rescue Training for our committed volunteers on February 21, 2026.

This hands-on training strengthened their skills in rope systems, knot-tying, and safe rescue operations ensuring they are fully prepared to serve the community when emergencies arise.

Building stronger partnerships for safer communities โค๏ธ๐Ÿค

The Philippine Red Cross Cavite Chapter โ€“ Silang Branch recently conducted a courtesy visit with the Association of Barangay Captains (ABC) President, Hon. Luciano โ€œJunโ€ P. De Jesus Jr. The meeting highlighted the branchโ€™s humanitarian services and strengthened collaboration with barangay leaders.

The Red Cross was invited to join the ABC Meeting on February 11 to discuss the establishment of Red Cross 143 Volunteers in barangays, empowering community-based first responders during disasters and emergencies and to promote blood donation initiatives to help sustain the blood supply in the Municipality of Silang, across Cavite, and in nearby cities and municipalities.
