Young boys from Barangay 3 participated in the Operation Tuli conducted at Silay Primary Care Facility. Prior to the procedure, both parents and patients were given proper instructions on wound care and post-circumcision management to ensure safe and fast healing.

Today’s recipients for the Operation Tuli were adolescent boys from Barangay Rizal. Prior to the circumcision procedure, both parents and patients received proper orientation and instructions on pre- and post-circumcision care to ensure safe recovery and proper wound management.

Free meals were also provided through the generosity of Hon. Councilor Noynoy Penuela and the Barangay Council headed by Hon. PB Julius Cordero, together with Kagawad Judy Pearl Abasquez.

The active and energetic boys of Barangay II joyfully participated in the Healthy Young Ones Class conducted by Ms. Ma. Cecilia Lautrezo, DOH Midwife, together with the Barangay Health Workers (BHWs) of Barangay II and Ms. April Rose Antiporda, Adolescent Program Coordinator of Silay Primary Care Facility.

The lecture focused on important adolescent health topics including puberty, the reproductive system, adolescent nutrition, gender and health, harmful effects of smoking and alcohol.

The participants showed eagerness throughout the session as they actively asked questions and participated in the Q&A and trivia portions of the activity.

Promoting adolescent health remains one of our top priorities and the driving force behind conducting activities like this. Through continuous education and awareness, we hope to reach more adolescents and equip them with age-appropriate knowledge and factual information about sexual and reproductive health.

Every adolescent matters. 💙

Barangay Mambulac Midwife, Ms. Lielani Azuro, together with the Barangay Health Workers (BHWs) and Ms. April Rose Antiporda, Adolescent Program Coordinator conducted a Healthy Young Ones Class for young boys in the community. Parents of the participants were also present during the activity, actively listening and sharing their insights on the various topics discussed.

The Healthy Young Ones Class covers important adolescent health topics including puberty, reproductive system, adolescent nutrition, gender and health, reproduction and responsibility, sexually transmitted infections (STIs), HIV and AIDS.

Through activities like this, adolescents are guided and provided with factual information on sexuality and reproductive health, helping bust myths and misconceptions. Parents are likewise educated on responsible parenting and encouraged to become active partners in promoting the health and well-being of adolescents.
