MGA PAALALA SA PANAHON NG BAGYO

I. BAGO ANG BAGYO (Paghahanda)

✔️ Ihanda ang go bag / emergency kit:
• Tubig at pagkaing hindi madaling masira
• Flashlight, extra batteries
• First aid kit at maintenance medicines
• Power bank / charged cellphone
• Whistle at face mask

World Cancer Day | February 4

Today, February 4, we join the global community in observing World Cancer Day, a day dedicated to raising awareness, promoting prevention, encouraging early detection, and standing in solidarity with individuals and families affected by cancer.

Cancer knows no boundaries—it affects people of all ages, backgrounds, and communities. Behind every diagnosis is a story of courage, resilience, and hope. This day reminds us that access to timely, quality, and compassionate healthcare is a right, not a privilege. No one should face cancer alone.

Through the combined efforts of LGU Hinobaan and the Hinobaan Primary Care Facility, we continue to strengthen our commitment to providing accessible health services, health education, early screening, and continuous support for our constituents. By promoting healthy lifestyles, regular check-ups, and awareness of cancer warning signs, we empower our community to take charge of their health.

Let us also take this moment to honor cancer survivors for their strength, support those currently undergoing treatment, and remember those who have bravely fought this disease. Together, we can help close the gap in cancer care by fostering understanding, compassion, and collective action.

On this World Cancer Day, let us reaffirm our dedication to a healthier, more informed, and more caring Hinoban-on —where every life is valued and every patient is supported.

National Cancer Awareness Month | February

The Local Government Unit of Hinoba-an, in partnership with the Hinoba-an Primary Care Facility, joins the nation in observing National Cancer Awareness Month—a time to raise awareness, encourage prevention, and strengthen our collective commitment to health and well-being.

Cancer remains one of the leading causes of illness worldwide, but many cases can be prevented or successfully treated through early detection, regular screening, healthy lifestyle choices, and timely medical consultation. Awareness empowers individuals and families to make informed decisions, seek help early, and support one another with compassion and understanding.

This month, we call on our community to be proactive about health—know the signs, attend screenings when available, adopt healthier habits, and never hesitate to consult healthcare professionals. Let us also stand in solidarity with cancer patients, survivors, and their families, reminding them that they are not alone in this journey.

Together, through education, prevention, and accessible primary care services, we can build a stronger, healthier Hinoba-an—where hope begins with knowledge and healing begins with care.

📍 For information on health services, screenings, and consultations, visit the Hinoba-an Primary Care Facility.

The Local Government Unit of Hinoba-an, through the Hinoba-an Primary Care Facility, proudly joins the observance of Autism Consciousness Week, a meaningful time to raise public awareness and deepen our understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

Autism is a lifelong neurological and developmental condition that affects how a person communicates, behaves, learns, and interacts with others. It is important to understand that autism is not a disease and not caused by poor parenting. Individuals with autism simply experience the world in a different way. Each person on the autism spectrum is unique—some may need more support in daily activities, while others are highly independent and gifted in various areas such as arts, academics, or problem-solving.

Early awareness and timely intervention can make a significant difference in the lives of children with autism. Recognizing early signs and seeking professional guidance can help improve communication skills, learning development, and social interaction. This is why community awareness and understanding play a vital role in supporting individuals with autism and their families.

As a community, we are encouraged to promote acceptance, inclusion, and respect. Simple acts of patience, kindness, and understanding can help create a safer and more welcoming environment for persons with autism. By replacing stigma with accurate information, we empower families and allow individuals with autism to reach their full potential.

Let us work together to build a community where differences are embraced, abilities are recognized, and everyone is given the opportunity to belong and thrive.

Awareness leads to understanding. Understanding leads to acceptance. Acceptance leads to inclusion.

Together, let us stand in solidarity with individuals with autism and their families—not only this week, but every day.
