⚖️ August is International Humanitarian Law Month!

In every conflict or disaster, there is one goal we never lose sight of: protecting lives and upholding human dignity.

This is the same principle at the heart of International Humanitarian Law, which guides the protection of people during armed conflicts.

The Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement is built on 7 Fundamental Principles that reflect this mission, inspiring volunteers to serve without discrimination and with compassion.

🗓️ A week ago August 8-10, 2025 The REDsilient of Red Cross Youth held at Doña Montserrat Lopez Memorial High School🏫

In just three days filled with— happines, new knowledge, unforgettable memories, excitement, and new friendship.

Day 1 : Opening program of the REDsilient Camp with unity! Setting up their tent, starting a different uniquenes of yell and chant competition.✊

Day 2 : Was all about break out sessions. An immerse training.

Day 3 : Last day of camp, Different groups from previous sessions teamed up in the grand simulation! Ended with water shower from a fire truck.💦🚿

By camp's end, they face any challenges. But they learned how to face that challenges.

We would like to thanks, To different Councils that made the camp succesfull and enjoyable!!🫶🏻✨

And of course, special thanks to our dedicated council SRCY President:
Cecelia Joy Belo, and other members that collaborate and cooperate throughout the camp. And thankyou to our supportive and loving council adviser— Sir Ken Moreño!!❤️

NATIONAL CPR DAY 2025!

On July 17, 2025, the DMLMHS Red Cross Youth participated in National CPR Day, organized by the Silay City Branch.

"The success of National CPR Day 🫀 marks a significant step in raising awareness on the importance of emergency preparedness 🚑 and basic life-saving skills. Through hands-on training and active participation 🙌, individuals were equipped with the knowledge and confidence to respond effectively during cardiac emergencies. This initiative reaffirms our commitment to building a community that is not only informed, but also empowered to save lives ❤️‍🩹.
