Isinagawa ang aktibidad bilang pagtutulungan ng LGU at RHU ng bayan ng Sipocot upang bigyang-diin ang kamalayan ukol sa dalawang pangunahing uri ng kanser na nakaaapekto sa kababaihan sa ating bansa, kanser sa dibdib (breast cancer) at kanser sa kwelyo ng matris (cervical cancer).

Tinalakay sa nasabing aktibidad ang mga impormasyon hinggil sa tamang paraan ng pagsusuri sa sarili tulad ng wastong pagsalat sa dibdib, at ang kahalagahan ng pagpapasuri ng kwelyo ng matris, lalo na sa mga kababaihang nasa edad 30 hanggang 65 taong gulang. Layunin nitong makatulong sa maagang pagtuklas at pag-iwas sa paglala ng sakit na kanser.

Inaanyayahan ang lahat ng kababaihan na bumisita sa mga Barangay Health Station para sa clinical breast examination, at sa Rural Health Unit para sa cervical screening, tuwing Miyerkules ng buwan.
Pagkat sa maagap na pagpakonsulta , sakit at kamatayan ay maiiwasan.

Ang tagumpay ng aktibidad ay posible sa suporta ni PB Noriel Cardona at ng Barangay PK Team, kasama ang Rural Health Unit sa pamumuno ni Municipal Health Officer Nena L. Cruz, MD at Rural Health Physician Francia A. Aquino, MD. Bukod pa rito, nagkaisa ang buong team ng DOH-HRH, kabilang ang mga dentista, nurse, midwife, at BHWs, upang maghatid ng komprehensibong serbisyo sa komunidad.

Ang PuroKalusugan initiative ay patunay sa matatag na adhikain ng Lokal na Pamahalaan ng Sipocot sa ilalim ng liderato ni Mayor Tomas A. Bocago na ilapit ang dekalidad na healthcare sa bawat mamamayan at tiyaking walang maiiwan.

Sama-sama tayong kumilos para sa Boronyog na Purok, Malusog na Sipocot, for a Better Tomorrow!
