Patient-Centered Community Pharmacy Practice: Strengthening Pharmacists’ Role as Antimicrobial Resistance Stewards program aims to enhance the role of pharmacist practitioners in antimicrobial resistance (AMR) stewardship counseling within the community setting. It equips participants with evidence-based strategies to promote responsible antibiotic use, prevent the spread of AMR, Through interactive discussions and applied learning, pharmacists will strengthen their competencies in counseling, behavioral change techniques, and interprofessional collaboration. Aligned with national health priorities, such as the Philippine Action Plan to Combat AMR. This program empowers pharmacists to serve as key contributors to public health and disease prevention

I. BACKGROUND

Republic Act (RA) No. 9994 or the “Expanded Senior Citizens Act of 2010” was enacted to support the overall well-being of the elderly by granting additional benefits and privileges to Senior Citizens such as the grant of a 20% discount and exemption from the Value-Added Tax (VAT) on the purchase of medicines and medical devices, among others.
