We are humbled and honored to announce a successful multi-organ retrieval at Metro Health Specialists Hospital. In a profound act of compassion, a deceased donor's generous gift has given a second chance at life to several patients in need.
This life-saving mission was the result of a seamless collaboration between Metro Health Specialists Hospital and our partner institutions. Metro Health took the crucial first steps, caring for the donor with the utmost respect and dignity. We then coordinated with Bicol Medical Center - Transplantation and Organ Procurement Services (BMC-TOPS), the Lung Center of the Philippines, and the National Kidney and Transplant Institute-Human Organ Procurement Effort (NKTI-HOPE) to ensure the success of the retrieval.
