📍 Sexual and Reproductive Health Medical Mission
On October 3, 2025, the Family Planning Organization of the Philippines (FPOP) staff, together with committed youth volunteers, conducted a Sexual and Reproductive Health outreach in Brgy. Diamante, Prieto Diaz, Sorsogon.
The medical mission provided the following services:
• Free and confidential HIV screening
• Random blood sugar testing
• Dispensation of doctor-prescribed medicines
• Provision of vitamins for children, pregnant women, and geriatric clients
• Distribution of family planning commodities
• Dissemination of information, education, and communication (IEC) materials

This initiative reflects our continued commitment to delivering inclusive, community-based health services that promote well-being and informed choice.

The FPOP Sorsogon Chapter proudly continues its commitment to accessible and inclusive healthcare by actively joining the PuroKalusugan launching held at Brgy. Cogon, Juban, Sorsogon last September 24, 2025. 💚

The event brought the community together for a day focused on essential health services, especially in reproductive health and overall wellness. Our dedicated FPOP staff and youth volunteers provided free and confidential HIV screening, family planning counseling, and random blood sugar testing—empowering individuals with the knowledge and resources to make informed health choices.

We also distributed family planning commodities and IEC materials to further support education and community engagement. Initiatives like this remind us that quality health care should always be within reach—for everyone, everywhere.

The event united the community for a day dedicated to vital health services focusing on reproductive health and overall wellness.

Our FPOP staff and youth volunteers offered free and confidential HIV screening, family planning counseling, and random blood sugar testing—equipping individuals with the tools to make informed health decisions. We also distributed FP commodities and IEC materials to further support community awareness and empowerment. The FPOP Sorsogon Chapter continued its mission of delivering accessible healthcare services as we joined the PuroKalusugan launching in Brgy. Sisigon, Matnog, Sorsogon on September 19, 2025. The event brought together local residents for a day of meaningful health interventions focused on reproductive and overall well-being.

We provided free and confidential HIV screening, family planning counseling, and random blood sugar testing — all aimed at empowering individuals to take charge of their health. In addition, FP commodities and IEC materials were distributed to further support informed health choices. With every outreach like this, we strengthen our commitment to making quality health services available at the grassroots level. 💚

On September 18, 2025, the FPOP Sorsogon Chapter proudly took part in the PuroKalusugan launching at Brgy. Tinago, Juban, Sorsogon. This initiative aims to bring essential health services closer to communities, and we were honored to contribute by offering family planning (FP) counseling, free and confidential HIV screening, and free random blood sugar testing. These services are part of our ongoing mission to promote accessible, inclusive, and community-centered healthcare.

In addition to medical services, we also provided FP commodities and distributed information, education, and communication (IEC) materials to help raise awareness about reproductive health and overall well-being. Through partnerships like PuroKalusugan, we continue to empower individuals and families with knowledge and access to critical health resources. 💚

On September 17, 2025, the FPOP Sorsogon Chapter proudly participated in the PurokAlusugan launching held at Brgy. Bariis, Matnog, Sorsogon. This meaningful initiative brought essential health services directly to the community, strengthening our shared commitment to accessible and inclusive healthcare.

During the event, we provided a range of free services, including confidential HIV screening, random blood sugar testing, and Pap smear procedures. We also dispensed family planning commodities and distributed vitamins for children and geriatrics, ensuring care for every age group.

Through this activity, we continue to advocate for informed, empowered, and healthier communities—one barangay at a time. 💚

The Chapter successfully conducted its Third Quarter Board of Directors (BOD) Meeting on September 14, 2025, at Chowking, Sorsogon City.

The meeting served as a venue to present and discuss the Chapter’s accomplishment reports, review ongoing initiatives, and provide general updates on current and upcoming projects. It also included the formal introduction and recognition of the newly elected Executive Officers of Kabataang FPOP, who are expected to take on vital roles in youth engagement and leadership within the organization.

This quarterly gathering reaffirmed the Chapter’s commitment to transparency, collaboration, and strategic planning as it continues to implement programs and services that benefit the communities it serves.

The Chapter extends its sincere appreciation to all Board members and youth representatives who actively participated and contributed to the productive outcome of the meeting.

Last September 8–12, 2025, our team proudly joined the Community-Based Screening (CBS) Training held at Proxy by The Oriental Albay. Representing our chapter were 2 dedicated staff members and 5 passionate youth volunteers, all committed to improving health services in our communities.

From this training, we gained essential skills in early health risk detection, community engagement, and health promotion—knowledge we are now using to support our province-wide outreach efforts.

We’re also proud to share that two of our participants were recognized as top performers:

Their dedication and hard work truly reflect the spirit of service we uphold.

In line with the PuroKalusugan program, the Family Planning Organization of the Philippines (FPOP) – Sorsogon Chapter conducted a community health outreach in Barangay Lajong, Juban.

The activity provided various health services free of charge to residents, including random blood sugar testing, confidential HIV screening, family planning counseling, and the distribution of family planning commodities. Additionally, vitamins were given to pregnant women and senior citizens to support their nutritional needs.
