DepEd SDN - Oplan Kalusugan sa DepEd

September 23 to 26, 2025 DepEd NCR composed of Division Offices of Mandaluyong, Muntinlupa, Las Piñas and San Juan together with DepEd Dinagat and DepEd Agusan Norte, Butuan City visit Division of Surigao del Norte for a benchmarking activity on the Management and Establishment SBFP Central Kitchen. These offices, aims to observe, document and assess operational mechanism, management system and collaborative framework to draw actionable insights and information for replication or scaling up a similar model in their region and divisions.

The participants visited central Kitchens of Mainit CES, Tubod CES, Placer West CES, Gigaquit CES, Claver CES. 5 out of 11 total central kitchen of DepEd Surigao del Norte. The central kitchen serves as a centralized food hub that prepares hotmeals to be serve to 3165 learners daily for 120 days.

DepEd Surigao del Norte in partneship with DTI, Surigao del Norte has successfully conducted the Suppliers Forum for Schools Based Feeding Program Central Kitchen. The activity was attended by local suppliers from each municipality and was assisted by DTI in the application for PhilGEPS registration to ensure all prospective suppliers has complete eligibility requirements to supply in our 11 central kitchens.

DepEd Surigao del Norte will conduct Supplier Forum on Aug. 7, 2025, 9am at Simtoco Building, Burgos st., Surigao City.

Items to be procured includes: meat, poultry, rice and grocery items use for the School Based Feeding Program Central Kitchen implementation for 3883 beneficiaries. Items be delivered to 11 central schools of each municipality.

Successful Conduct of Health Cara Program for DepEd Personnel from Provincial Goverment of Surigao del Norte through the Provincial Health Office.

Teaching and non teaching personnel were able to avail of:
1. Free medical consultation
2. Laboratory test e.g cholesterol, uric acid and glucpse test
3. Free vitamins and medicines as needed.
