As part of the P*P HERO Program, our 1st-year Internal Medicine residents, Dr. Flo Lamigo and Dr. Jommalyn Tabal, served as guest speakers at the Adolescent Health Forum held at Capalayan National High School.

They delivered a timely discussion on Smoking and Va**ng, emphasizing its harmful effects and long-term health risks among the youth.

This activity was organized by the P*P Caraga Chapter, Philippine Medical Association, Surigao del Norte Medical Society, and the Philippine Pediatric Society – Mindanao Chapter.

We also extend our gratitude to our Training Officer, Dr.Kenneth Alberca, for his presence and support throughout the event.

| Earlier today, our residents Dr. Ian Dave Delgado and Dr. Collen June Cosin were invited through our Public Health Unit for a radio broadcasting guesting at one of the biggest radio stations in Surigao City – FM Radio Bagtik Station 📻.

They shared valuable insights on Diabetes Mellitus, together with the presence of our Residency Training Officer, Dr. Kenneth Jay-R. Alberca.

This platform of the radio station, through its program “Marajaw Na Kalawasan Sa Bagtik Na Katawhan,” is dedicated to promoting disease prevention, healthy living, and public health initiatives of the government, the private sector, and other stakeholders. It serves as a venue to inform, educate, and engage the community on various health topics empowering listeners to take charge of their health. 💪

The P*P Health Education Reform Orders (HERO) Program is an advocacy initiative aimed at strengthening health education in the Philippines.
