Nakausap ko ang may gawa ng face mask na ito at ipinipilit nya na effective ito at safe.

Isang paalala para sa ating mga kababayan. Hindi po ligtas gamitin ang face mask na ito.

Ang purpose ng surgical face mask, N95 mask o kahit cloth mask is to filter out the droplets.. dadaan ang hangin sa layers ng mask at mafifilter ang droplets.

Sa ganitong klaseng mask, hindi makakalabas ang hangin, sa gap sa gilid ng mask lalabas at papasok ang hangin. Walang effective filtration of droplets na nangyayari.

Ayon sa gumawa nito, isang paraan nang pag susuot nito ay mag mask sa loob at ito sa ibabaw. Kung may mask ka na, hindi na kelangan pa mag suot ng plastic mask on top of it.

Paumanhin sa mga nag mamay-ari ng sumusunod na larawan.

Sa panahon ng paglindol tayo ay marapat na mag DUCK, COVER and HOLD upang makaiwas sa mga bagay na maaring bumagsak gaya ng kisame, ilang bagay na nasa mataas na kinalalagyan o pader sa loob ng bahay.

Tila nagiging routine na lang to sa mga tao ngayon. Nakakalungkot na maging ang BFP or ang ilang organisation na nararapat mag turo ng tama ay shang gumagawa ng mali.

Advisable and DUCK, COVER and HOLD Kung ikaw ay nasa loob ng isang istraktura tulad ng bahay o building.

Kung ikaw ay nasa labas:

1) Magpunta sa bakanteng lugar kung saan ikaw ay ligtas sa kahit anong maaring bumagsak sa iyo.

2) lumayo sa poste, building, billboards, puno or kahit anong matataas na istraktura.

Nebulised heparin as a treatment for COVID-19: scientific rationale and a call for randomised evidence.

Nebulised unfractionated heparin (UFH) has a strong scientific and biological rationale and warrants urgent investigation of its therapeutic potential, for COVID-19-induced acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS). COVID-19 ARDS displays the typical features of diffuse alveolar damage with extensive pulmonary coagulation activation resulting in fibrin deposition in the microvasculature and formation of hyaline membranes in the air sacs. Patients infected with SARS-CoV-2 who manifest severe disease have high levels of inflammatory cytokines in plasma and bronchoalveolar lavage fluid and significant coagulopathy. There is a strong association between the extent of the coagulopathy and poor clinical outcomes.

The anti-coagulant actions of nebulised UFH limit fibrin deposition and microvascular thrombosis. Trials in patients with acute lung injury and related conditions found inhaled UFH reduced pulmonary dead space, coagulation activation, microvascular thrombosis and clinical deterioration, resulting in increased time free of ventilatory support. In addition, UFH has anti-inflammatory, mucolytic and anti-viral properties and, specifically, has been shown to inactivate the SARS-CoV-2 virus and prevent its entry into mammalian cells, thereby inhibiting pulmonary infection by SARS-CoV-2. Furthermore, clinical studies have shown that inhaled UFH safely improves outcomes in other inflammatory respiratory diseases and also acts as an effective mucolytic in sputum-producing respiratory patients. UFH is widely available and inexpensive, which may make this treatment also accessible for low- and middle-income countries.

These potentially important therapeutic properties of nebulised UFH underline the need for expedited large-scale clinical trials to test its potential to reduce mortality in COVID-19 patients.

If a task requires airborne or aerosolized droplet precautions, wearing a surgical mask under an N95 respirator is not a substitute to a properly-fitted N95. Doing so is considered UNSAFE.

"Three Key Factors Required for a Respirator to be Effective

1. The respirator must be put on correctly and worn during the exposure.

2. The respirator must fit snugly against the user's face to ensure that there are no gaps between the user's skin and respirator seal.

3. The respirator filter must capture more than 95%

Please stop spreading false information. There is only one way of wearing a surgical face mask or simple face mask.

COLORED SIDE OUT

Why?

Surgical face masks has three layers:
1st) Non-Woven Layer (water repellant layer) -colored
2nd) Meltblown Non-Woven Layer ( acts as filter)
3rd) Soft Fiber Layer ( water absorbent) - white

You should always wear your mask with the white side touching your face. It is made for your own comfort. It is soft and water absorbent. That layer should absorb the v***r/ droplets/saliva of the wearer.

Colored side should be worn facing outward to prevent droplets and water particles to soak into the filter layer at the middle.

THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS WEARING IT WHITE OR COLORED OUT IF YOU ARE SICK OR NOT.

Poliomyelitis (polio) is a highly infectious viral disease, which mainly affects young children. The virus is transmitted by person-to-person spread mainly through the faecal-oral route or, less frequently, by a common vehicle (e.g. contaminated water or food) and multiplies in the intestine, from where it can invade the nervous system and can cause paralysis.

Initial symptoms of polio include fever, fatigue, headache, vomiting, stiffness in the neck, and pain in the limbs. In a small proportion of cases, the disease causes paralysis, which is often permanent.
