🎶 A Song That Speaks of Life and Love Beyond Death 🎶

With hearts full of admiration, we proudly present the 1st Placer in our Songwriting Contest —

🏆 KATHERINE MAY CHUA CUYUCA
with her deeply moving original piece,
“Kept Within My Heart.”

With her memories of her Mama and Papa, Katherine wrote this song through tears — each line a whisper of longing, each note a vessel of love. Over a decade since a tragic crane accident took her mother’s life, followed by her father’s passing just months later, this song became her way of remembering, honoring, and healing.

“Kept Within My Heart” does more than tell her story — it encapsulates our very message of life and love beyond death. It’s a gift for everyone who has lost someone, and a reminder that love, once shared, never truly leaves.

To her parents, she writes:
"If this song could travel through the wind, let this be my way of saying how much I miss and love you both… and that I still think of you every single day."

Thank you, Katherine, for sharing your story with us.

A Salute to Barangay San Lorenzo: Compassion in Action

In times of loss, what truly matters is not just the ceremony, but the presence of a community that stands with you—with kindness, with care, and with heart.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Hon. Christopher “Tophe” Brutas, Barangay Chairman and the entire Barangay Council of San Lorenzo, Tabaco City, for their support and trust in bringing subsidized memorial services closer to their constituents.

This initiative is not just a service—it’s a reflection of leadership rooted in malasakit, and of a barangay that chooses to serve with empathy, especially when families need it most.

To Kap. Tophe and the Council—thank you for walking with your people, for listening, and for acting with a heart. You have shown that true leadership is not measured by titles, but by the lives touched and the comfort given.

Barangay San Lorenzo, you are proof that in our final goodbyes, we are never alone.

From the Heart of Tabaco. 🤍

In life’s most painful moments—when grief is heavy and words fall short—what brings light is knowing that someone cares.

Today, we offer our deepest gratitude to the City Government of Tabaco, led by our beloved Mayor Reynaldo “Rey” B. Bragais, and with the full support of our honorable City Councilors, for embracing a mission rooted in compassion: the subsidized memorial services for the people of Tabaco City.

This means that for many indigent families, memorial services can now be—if not completely free—almost free. A heavy burden eased. A quiet act of mercy. A gesture that speaks volumes of how this city chooses to walk with its people, even in their darkest hours.

This is not just a program, it is a reflection of genuine leadership. Of malasakit that reaches beyond policies. Of public service that sees and uplifts the grieving.

To Honorable Mayor Rey Bragais and the entire Sangguniang Panlungsod, thank you for your kindness, your support, and your heart for every Tabaqueño. Because of your efforts, many families will find comfort not only in service, but in knowing they are remembered, respected, and never left behind.

This is the Tabaco City. This is one of the reasons why we are the City of True Love.

Service with compassion. A final tribute with dignity. A city that embraces its own.

ANNOUNCEMENT
Postponement of Winners’ Announcement – Songwriting Competition

To all our valued participants,

We extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who joined and shared their talent in our recently concluded Songwriting Competition. Your enthusiasm and creativity are truly appreciated.

We would like to inform you that the announcement of winners, originally scheduled earlier, will be postponed to August 1, 2025.

This decision was made after a careful review of all entries. We are saddened to share that a significant number of submissions did not follow the given theme, while others were found to be entirely AI-generated. It is disheartening, as this competition was envisioned to be a genuine platform to celebrate original and heartfelt musical expression.

Moreover, several entries were disqualified due to late submission. These rules were clearly outlined in the competition guidelines and must be respectfully upheld to ensure fairness and integrity.

However, the primary reason for this postponement is our decision to extend consideration to participants who submitted corrupted files. We believe it is only just to allow these entries a fair chance, and we are currently reaching out to the concerned participants to assist them in fixing and resubmitting their files.

Please note that only entries with corrupted files are eligible for reconsideration. All other disqualifying reasons mentioned above will remain final and will no longer be reconsidered. If you have not received a call or message from us, that means your submission was received successfully and is currently being evaluated.

We thank you for your understanding, patience, and continued support. Let us all continue to uplift original Filipino music with integrity, creativity, and heart.

In our world, when someone we love dies, we gather.
We light candles.
We say a few words.
We try to let go — even when it hurts.

But in the wild?

There are no candles.
No songs.
No goodbyes spoken out loud.

Only silence.
Only instinct.
Only what’s left behind.

And still… this little bird stayed.

Curled beside the body of one it must have loved.

Not for food.
Not for warmth.
But for something else.
Something we all understand, but cannot explain.

We like to think feelings belong to us —
that only humans know love, loss, and grief.

But the world shows us otherwise.

There was no one watching.
No crowd.
No camera.
Just the earth... and that quiet goodbye.

No tears.
No words.
Just the choice to stay for one last time.

Because even in the wild, a heart can break.
And even the smallest of creatures can feel the weight of love, loss, and pain.
