Album 2 of 2

On June 19, during the Drum and Lyre Competition held as part of Tabuk City’s Matagoan Festival, the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) – Kalinga Chapter was once again at the forefront of ensuring public safety and providing emergency medical services.

”PRC - Kalinga Chapter’s Water Stations Provide Cool Relief at Matagoan’s Grand Civic Parade”

Album 2 of 2

On June 19, during the Matagoan Festival’s Grand Civic Parade, participants from various sectors—including different LGUs (CLGU, PLGU, and sister LGUs), LGU scholars, CSOs, colleges, national agencies, the religious sector, and private organizations—marched through the streets of Dagupan Centro and Dagupan Weste.

With rising temperatures and hundreds of parade-goers along the route, the water stations set up by the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) – Kalinga Chapter became a welcome sight. Staffed by dedicated volunteers handing out cups of water, these hydration points provided much-needed refreshment, keeping both participants and spectators energized and helping to prevent heat-related incidents.

In addition to providing hydration, the stations also served as first aid posts, manned by trained Red Cross volunteers ready to respond to any health concerns.

The PRC – Kalinga Chapter extends its heartfelt gratitude to the following individuals and groups for their generous time, unwavering dedication, and invaluable support during the event:

1. College Red Cross Youth Saint Tonis College, Inc. College of Nursing (STCI CON) Council, led by Ms. Erica Palangdao, RN
