In partnership with the Philippine Red Cross - Kalinga Chapter, employees of Tree Tops Tabuk in Barangay Bantay paused work on March 31 to donate blood.

Owners Jaime Bides and Letty June Lugtu Bides led the initiative, encouraging staff to participate in the life-saving activity as part of their commitment to community service.

A Health Caravan led by the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) - Kalinga Chapter and the PRC National Headquarters was held on March 26 at Socbot Elementary School, providing medical consultations, vital signs checks, free medicine distribution, and other essential health services to residents of Barangay Socbot, Pinukpuk.

Free hot meals were also distributed, and a child-friendly space was organized where students learned handwashing, participated in coloring activities, and played games.

The success of this initiative was made possible through the partnership and coordinated efforts of the Philippine Red Cross - Kalinga Chapter with the following:

• College of Nursing, Saint Tonis College, Inc. (STCI),
• Kalinga DRRM Council (PDRRMC),
• Barangay Local Government Unit of Socbot,
• Socbot Elementary School,
• Kalinga State University, through its BS Biology interns,
• Rural Health Unit (RHU) of Pinukpuk, and
• Dr. Aiza Catriz of Pinukpuk District Hospital.

A Health Caravan led by the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) - Kalinga Chapter and the PRC National Headquarters was held on March 26 at Socbot Elementary School, providing medical consultations, vital signs checks, free medicine distribution, and other essential health services to residents of Barangay Socbot, Pinukpuk.

To celebrate his birthday, Kalinga Governor James S. Edduba led the annual Lumin-awa Blood Donation Drive on Friday, February 20, at the Kalinga Astrodome.

The bloodletting activity saw a strong turnout, made possible through the partnership of the Philippine Red Cross - Kalinga Chapter, the Office of the Provincial Health Officer, and the Provincial Blood Council.

Volunteers from PAMET Kalinga, KSU, STCI, and SNHS; donors from government offices and the private sector; and other supporters filled the venue in support of the program.

In Bugnay, Tinglayan, pregnant mothers gathered on February 7 to receive mama and baby kits from the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) - Kalinga Chapter. The effort is part of the PRC’s initiative to support mothers in disaster-affected communities.

Meanwhile, pupils at the barangay’s Child Development Center learned proper handwashing techniques and received hygiene kits to help them practice healthy habits at home.

On February 14, love-filled singles, couples, and groups gathered at the Philippine Red Cross - Kalinga Chapter to celebrate Valentine’s Day in a meaningful, life-saving way by donating blood during the Chapter’s Feb-Ibig Blood Donation Drive with the theme "Feb-ibig: Be Someone's Valentine, Donate Blood.”

Alongside the special treats prepared by the Chapter, donors were delighted to receive other goodies generously provided by this year’s Feb-Ibig sponsors: free donuts from Dunkin’ Donuts (Tabuk City Branch) and 10% off vouchers for all services at The Medispa (Tabuk City).
