PuroKalusugan Launching Activity!
Today, Sagkahan District Health Center officially launched the PuroKalusugan in Barangay 59-A Sampaguita --a program initiated by the Department of Health (DOH) in the Philippines to deliver essential healthcare services directly to communities at the purok, or neighborhood, level. Bringing healthcare services closer to residents. Purok Kalusugan seeks to reduce health disparities and improve health outcomes .
This initiative is a partnership between the local government, through the City Health Office, the Department of Health, and HappyDocs Medical Clinic and Laboratory, aimed at providing accessible health care to underserved communities.
The program aligns with DOH's Eight Point Action agenda including:

This activity was conducted under the supervision of our City Health Officer -Dr. Jaime Opinion, Sagkahan District Supervisor -Maam Myla Garcia, with support from Sir Marvin Allen Guy-Joco of DOH Provincial Office for North Leyte, and Hon. Kenneth Mate -Brgy. Chairman of 59-A, whose unwavering support and commitment to community health made this initiative possible.
