I recently attended the 60th Founding Anniversary of the Philippine Academy of Occupational Therapists, Inc. (PAOT), and it turned out to be a meaningful experience. Aside from the opportunity to network, it was refreshing to learn from senior therapists, ask for guidance on specific clinical situations, and discover upcoming seminars and trainings that can support my growth in the profession. Listening to the speakers and seeing how far Occupational Therapy has come over the years was truly inspiring.

Events like this highlight the importance of attending conventions and professional gatherings. They keep us updated with current trends and best practices, broaden our perspectives, and remind us of the bigger picture of our work. As someone who primarily practices in a private clinic but also collaborates closely with government activities these events are especially valuable. They help me bridge both worlds—bringing clinical insights into community programs, while also integrating community needs into the services we provide at the clinic.

Last Saturday wasn’t just a Halloween event — it was an intentional space to observe, connect, and create opportunities for growth.

Every part of the Enchanted Forest was designed with purpose:
✨ to see how friendships bloom beyond the therapy room
✨ to invite parents into mindful, screen-free play
✨ to understand how children handle social demands, big emotions, and new environments
✨ to make safety and inclusion part of the play itself

We wanted to see how children respond, adapt, and express themselves — and how parents learn alongside them. Some moments were full of laughter, others needed guidance — but all of it reflected what Playcare stands for: real learning through play, connection, and care. 💛

And this is only the beginning. 🌿
Our Enchanted Forest was just a glimpse of what’s to come — more experiences built with intention, all in the spirit of play, connection, and inclusion. ✨😉
