Behind the white coat is a mom who will brave any storm. ⛈️👩‍⚕️

Mother’s Day started early today with a two-hour rainy trek to Christ the Healer Hospital in Sogod. Between the downpours and stretches of zero visibility on the road, the drive was a test of faith and focus—much like motherhood itself!

Duty calls because healing doesn’t take a holiday, but the best part of the day was making it back just in time for a quiet, simple dinner with my kids. My heart (and my plate) is full. 🤍

Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms who go the extra mile—literally and figuratively!

The duty is done, and the "Mom" shift has officially begun! :)

HEAT STROKE: Isang Medikal na Emergency

Ang pag-alam sa mga senyales ay makapagliligtas ng buhay. Ang heat stroke ang pinakamalalang sakit na dulot ng init at nangangailangan ng agarang atensyong medikal.

BABALA: Tumawag agad ng ambulansya o emergency services kung makikita ang mga sintomas na ito.

✅ Napakataas na Temperatura ng Katawan: Ang temperatura na 40°C o higit pa ang pangunahing senyales nito.

✅ Pagbabago sa Mental na Katayuan o Pag-uugali: Maaaring makaranas ng pagkalito, pagkabalisa, pagnginig ng pananalita (slurred speech), pagiging iritable, pagdedeliryo, pangingisay (seizures), at koma.

✅ Pagbabago sa Pagpapawis: Sa heat stroke na dulot ng mainit na panahon, ang balat ay tuyo at mainit hawakan. Sa heat stroke naman na dulot ng matinding ehersisyo, ang balat ay maaaring tuyo o kaya ay mamasa-masa.

✅ Pagsusuka at Pagkahilo: Pakiramdam na nasusuka o aktwal na pagsusuka.

✅ Namumulang Balat: Maaaring mamula ang balat habang tumataas ang temperatura ng katawan.

✅ Mabilis na Paghinga: Ang paghinga ay maaaring maging mabilis at mababaw.

✅ Mabilis na Tibok ng Puso: Maaaring bumilis nang husto ang pulso dahil sa tindi ng hirap ng puso na palamigin ang katawan.

✅ Sakit ng Ulo: Karaniwan ang nakaka-ngiraytiray o pumupulsong sakit ng ulo.
