PAGASA has raised Tropical Cyclone Wind Signals (TCWS) over almost the entire and parts of as Typhoon continues to move closer to the country.
“But it’s sunny in our area, why is there a storm warning?”

As shown in the image below, Uwan is still far from land, but it is a very large and powerful system. The storm’s wide circulation is threatening the Philippines. The storm is EXPECTED to move closer in the next few hours.
What to expect:
1. Landfall is likely by Sunday night or early Monday morning.
2. Gusty winds and occasional rains will start to be felt ahead of the storm.
3. Coastal areas should stay alert for storm surges and rough seas.
