The Legacy Building of the Eastern Visayas Medical Center (EVMC) is envisioned to be a modern, patient-centered facility designed to improve both healthcare delivery and overall patient experience. Beyond its impressive 12-storey structure, the building integrates key features that support efficiency, accessibility, and comfort for patients, healthcare workers, and visitors.

One of its defining features is a connecting bridge that seamlessly links the Legacy Building to the EVMC Main Building, allowing faster and more convenient movement of patients, staff, and medical equipment.

To address accessibility and convenience, the facility will also include a basement parking area dedicated to both employees and visitors. A designated relatives’ waiting area will be provided to ensure that families and companions have a comfortable and appropriate space while attending to their loved ones.

The building will also feature a welcoming lobby that creates a positive first impression for patients and visitors. Complementing this is a walkable indoor garden, offering a calming and therapeutic environment within the hospital.

In terms of medical services, the Legacy Building will significantly enhance EVMC’s diagnostic and treatment capabilities. It will house an expanded tertiary laboratory, a satellite pharmacy, and a comprehensive ultrasound complex. Advanced imaging services such as CT Scan, MRI, radiofluoroscopy X-ray, mammogram, and dental X-ray will also be available, enabling faster and more accurate diagnosis. The building will also strengthen outpatient and specialized care services through its OPD open clinics and an expanded dialysis center.
To support continuous learning and professional development, the facility will include training rooms and an auditorium, reinforcing EVMC’s role as a teaching and training institution.

Overall, the Legacy Building is designed not just as an expansion, but as a forward-looking healthcare facility that combines modern infrastructure, advanced medical technology, and patient-focused spaces—aimed at delivering better, more efficient healthcare services to the people of Eastern Visayas.

Samahan ang EVMC Cares ngayong Sabado, May 9, 2025 mula 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM sa PRTV 100.7 at FMR para talakayin ang “Pag-unawa sa Self-Harm sa mga Kabataan," kasama si Dr. Rajami Malibago- Medical Officer IV ng EVMC.

Sama-sama nating alamin kung paano makilala ang mga babalang senyales, maunawaan ang mga tahimik na laban na kinakaharap ng maraming kabataan, at matutuhan kung paano ang malasakit at agarang suporta ay maaaring makapagligtas ng buhay.

Dahil mahalaga ang kalusugang pangkaisipan, at walang kabataang dapat lumaban nang nag-iisa. 💙

Paalala ng DOH: Maging alerto at mag-ingat mula sa aftershocks at tsunami dulot ng lindol.

✅Gumamit ng first aid kit kapag may sugat o galos sa katawan
✅Lumayo sa mga sirang gusali, nakalaylay na linya ng kuryente, lupang maaaring gumuho, at dalampasigan.
✅Ihanda ang Go Bag kung sakaling kailanganing lumikas dahil sa aftershocks o paparating na tsunami
✅Bantayan ang anunsyo ng lokal na pamahalaan at ng PHIVOLCS
✅Kapag ligtas na, suriin ang bahay at gamit sa anumang sira, gaya ng bitak o pagtagas
