EVMC is joining the Philippine Society for Cervical Pathology and Colposcopy (PSCPC ) for the Nationwide Cervical Cancer Screening Day on May 23, 2025 (Friday), from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the EVMC OB-GYN OPD. Weโ€™ll be hosting an online podcast about cervical cancer and offering FREE HPV DNA testing.

This event also marks the kickoff of EVMCโ€™s HPV DNA Testing Service, donโ€™t miss the chance to get screened with a high-performance test!

Who Can Get Screened:
โ€ข Women aged 30 and above
โ€ข No sexual activity in the past 48 hours
โ€ข Not on their period on the screening day

Ang Cervical Cancer ay isa sa mga pinakamadalas na sanhi ng cancer sa mga kababaihan, sa buong mundo. Marahil ito ay dahil sa kakulangan ng mga screening program katulad ng Pap Smear lalo na sa malalayong lugar.

Bilang alternatibo sa Pap Smear at HPV testing, ang Visual Inspection of the cervix with Acetic Acid o VIA ay isa sa mga mabisang pamamaraan para malaman kung ang isang babae ay may tsansa na magkaroon ng Cervical Cancer.

Ngayong darating na HUWEBES (May 23, 2024), inaanyayahan lahat ng kababaihan na lumahok sa National Cervical Cancer Screening Day. Magkakaroon ng malawakang screening sa buong Pilipinas. Sa Eastern Visayas Medical Center, ito ay gagawin sa OB GYN OPD clinic 2nd floor. Libre po ito!
