🔆In another remarkable feat by the GCGMMC Surgical Team🔆

Congratulations to Dr. Lesgard John B. Gonzalez for proudly representing the PSGS–CEV Chapter in the International Surgical Education Program (ISEP), emerging as one of the most distinguished delegates among surgical trainees nationwide. His insightful presentation, “The Impact of International Surgical Rotations in Resident Training,” delivered on July 24, 2025 during the 2nd Joint PSGS–PALES Annual Convention, highlighted the transformative value of global immersion in shaping the future of surgical education.

Kudos as well to Dr. Winkle Jones P. Alkuino, who rose to the occasion and presented his case report, “Enterocolonic Fistula by a Jejunal Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumor Presenting as an Overt Gastrointestinal Bleed – A Case Report,” on the national stage on July 25, 2025 during the Free Paper Presentation at the same convention. He proved that excellence is not defined by rank, but by the dedication and courage to contribute meaningfully.

May your discipline and determination continue to inspire us all to go beyond what is expected and to rise well above the baseline.
