DOH Advisory regarding MPOX!

Monkey pox or MPOX is an infectious disease that causes painful rash, enlarged lymph node and fever. Most of the cases fully recovered but some are getting sick.

Anyone can get mpox. It spreads from contact with infected:
/ Persons, through touch, kissing, or sex
/ Animals, when hunting, skinning, or cooking them
/ Materials, such as contaminated sheets, clothes or needles
/ Pregnant persons, who may pass the virus on to their unborn baby

A lot to be GRATEFUL for today…

Mommy delivered vaginally after a previous cesarean section, to her biggest baby to date at 3800g. Shoutout to Tagbilaran Community Hospital nurses and staff!

A healthy baby was delivered despite having a knotted umbilical cord (as seen in the pic). It’s as rare as 3 in 1000 pregnancies, and can cause fetal morbidity and mortality. Thank you Lord for this blessing!

All our OPD patients patiently waited til I got back from delivery. Thank you Mommies and Daddies! Ate Rio for taking care of our patients while I was busy, thank you!

To my clinic roomie, Pediatrician, Dr. Biboso, who also took care of our big baby today, and for adjusting his time and understanding my clinic takeover.
