MYTH VS FACT no.1
Myth : Bawal maligo pag bagong panganak!!
❌ Myth Meaning:
📜 Where It Came From:
This belief is rooted in traditional postnatal practices, especially in older generations.
✅ FACT: It’s safe to take a bath after giving birth, especially if:
• You’re not running a fever
• You’re using warm water
• You avoid cold air or sudden temperature changes
🧼 Why Bathing Is Important:
• Promotes hygiene especially sa vaginal or C-section wound area
• Helps with relaxation and muscle relief
• Prevents infection from sweat or lochia (vaginal discharge after birth)
⚠️ BUT take note:
• If you had a C-section, your doctor might recommend sponge baths for the first few days.
• Avoid immersion baths (like soaking in a tub) if there’s still an open wound or stitches.
• Dry off quickly and stay warm after bathing.
Use a robe or towel agad after bathing.
Spoiler: Hindi mo kailangang amagin, momshie! 😉
