IN PHOTOS|| "OPERATION LIBRENG TULI 2023"

A successful operation tuli was done by Coast Guard Medical Clinic-Base Taguig in collaboration with the Nursing Service Sub Unit Base Taguig and Taguig City Health Office in connection with the 18th Founding Anniversary of Coast Guard Medical Service, a total of two hundred nine (209) residents of New Lower Bicutan, Taguig City successfully catered during the aforementioned activity at Taguig National High School.

This clinic would like to express their gratitude to the Almighty God for giving protection and safety not only to the instruments used but also to the parents and children who came forward to receive assistance, helping them improve their hygiene and lower their risk of contracting certain diseases.

In Photos|| 2ND QUARTER NATIONWIDE SIMULTANEOUS EARTHQUAKE DRILL (NSED) 2023

On or about 08 June 2023, under the guidance of CG LT CELITO-JOSE M MACACHOR MC - Officer-In-Charge, Coast Guard Medical Clinic-Base Taguig, personnel of this clinic joined the 2nd Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) 2023 alongside the Coast Guard Base Taguig (CGBT) and its tenant units as they execute DUCK, COVER, and HOLD serves as first line of defense during the above-mentioned activity.

This is to ensure for the purpose of preparedness through regular conduct of drills as well as practicing emergency response and evacuation procedures, and raising awareness about earthquake safety.

In Photos|| The Taguig City Southern Police District requested the deployment of Philippine Coast Guard personnel as additional area security during the Holy Week Celebration in connection with OPLAN BIYAHENG AYOS: SEMANA SANTA AND SUMMER VACATION 2023, which takes place on April 2-9, 2023. During the length of the above-mentioned activity, augmented personnel assist other agencies in maintaining peace and order in their respective areas of responsibility. Coast Guard Medical Clinic-Base Taguig actively engaged in the aforementioned request and provided area security alongside the Philippine National Police (PNP) Taguig at St. Ignatius of Loyola Parish Church, Ususan, Taguig City. The purpose of this operation is to offer the public with increased security coverage by conducting ocular inspections of various churches within the area of responsibility for a safe and secure observance of the Lenten season.

In Photos|| On 17 February to 24 March 2023, Coast Guard Medical Clinic-Base Taguig (MEDC-BT) administered First dose of Tetanus Toxoid Vaccine to three hundred sixty-eight (368) trainees of Coast Guard Non-officer Course Class 95-2022. In addition, on or about 21 April 2023, Coast Guard Medical Clinic-Base Taguig (MEDC-BT) successfully administered the second dose of Tetanus Toxoid Vaccine to three hundred fifty-four (354) trainees of Coast Guard Non-officers' Course (CGNOC) Class 95-2022. This was intended to boost trainees' immunity from Tetanus and protect them from life-threatening diseases that they can acquire during training.

In Photos|| On 14 March 2023, Coast Guard Medical Clinic-Base Taguig (MEDC-BT) personnel conducted troops information and education (TI&E) on the existing medical equipment and medical supplies to continuously inculcate basic knowledge on the proper handling and usage of suction machines, air-compressing nebulizers, and automated external defibrillators (AED). CG SN1 Artates, assisted by CG SN1 Caimahan, discussed the different parts of the nebulizer kit along with the operating procedures of the air-compressing nebulizer. CG ASN Teo conducted a lecture on the different types, uses, proper handling, and procedures of suction machines.

On 16 March 2023, CG PO3 Rivas delivered a lecture on the various components and proper use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) in response to an emergency. Afterwards, all MEDC-BT workers actively participated in the return demonstration of the medical equipment exhibited.

In Photos|| On 28th February 2023, Coast Guard Medical Clinic-Base Taguig conducted a body mass index (BMI) survey among three hundred seventy-five (375) trainees of Coast Guard Non-officer Course Class 95-2022. The said activity started early by checking their height and weight for their BMI record. BMI serves as an initial screening tool to identify individuals who may be underweight, overweight, or obese, which is a useful screening for assessing weight-related health issues. It also provides valuable insights into standardized measures for assessing various potential health risks.

INCREASE SPIRITUAL WELLNESS

In photos|| A spiritual activity at Divine Mercy Chapel, New Lower Bicutan, Taguig City was successfully carried out through the collective efforts of Medical Clinic Base Taguig (MEDC-BT) and PCG Nursing Service on 22 February 2023.

As we celebrate the Ash Wednesday, We as Catholics are called to examine their consciences and seek reconciliation with God. It is also an important day of penance and spiritual renewal in which we observed fasting and abstinence.

LOOK: Regional Training Center-Taguig (RTC-TAGUIG) currently conducting standard training among future Coast Guardians.

As part of their program, Medical Clinic Base Taguig (MEDC-BT) successfully facilitated a 3-day lecture to three hundred seventy-eight (378) students of CGNOC Class 95-2022 regarding Proper Hygiene & Well-being, Alcoholism, Substance Abuse & Drug Addiction, Human Immunodeficiency Virus/Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (HIV/AIDS), and Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD).

This unit provides opportunities to raise and/or increase self-awareness, influence behaviour change and encourage good health habits to prevent the spread of hygiene-related diseases and other chronic illnesses.

LOOK: The Maritime Security and Law Enforcement Command (MARSLEC) conducted it's 3-day Water Search and Rescue Rubber Boat Operations and Maintenance (WASARRBOM) training attended by 30 students and was held at Special Center, Fort Andres Bonifacio, Metro Manila Swimming Pool.

The training aims to boost PCG personnel water safety, security and preparedness during disasters and natural calamities.

Relatedly, Medical Clinic Base Taguig (MEDC-BT) ensured the safe conduct of the training by providing medical team on the whole duration of the activity.
