“Necessity is the mother of invention” is an old proverb that roughly means the design and creation of something is brought about by a need. Our Urology Online Consult page is not exactly a new invention. But being the soft-spoken and unassuming individual that he is, Dr. Francis John C. Pile understood that he needed to reinvent himself in the time of COVID-19 when his patients do not have that easy access to his clinic due to the pandemic.
“All doctors feel uneasy having to create a presence online because we have to follow ethical standards that have been here since time immemorial. I, myself, am a bit low-key when it comes to social media, to be honest. But how else can our patients and those who require our professional care reach out to us especially in the time of the pandemic?
