E-Max crowns consist of lithium disilicate glass and has an all-ceramic system. Offers one of the most aesthetically pleasing options; porcelain can be layered on it, creating incredible translucency and a very realistic-looking tooth that matches with other natural teeth. (as you can see on the lingual view)
Metal-free and provides durability to its users. It does not contain any alloy, so it does not change any aesthetics around the gum line.
In today's case, patient went in the clinic with an existing 4 units of Porcelain Fused to Metal Crowns (PFM on 4 upper incisors). He complained about the bulkiness and unaesthetic look on his 4 jacket crowns due to the metal showing around the gum line, especially on his 2 front teeth. In addition, he also felt sensitivity on the said crowns which is why he wants to have them replaced.
The patient opted for E-MAX crowns to replace his old PFM crowns (but this time, only for his 2 front teeth).
