The Department of Medicine recently concluded its 5th Internist Colloquium HEARTS IN CRISIS: WHEN LIFE MEETS PREGNANCY AND MALIGNANCY, and the 2ND DEPARTMENT ASEEMBLY, culminates in a powerful exploration of hearts in crisis—where complexity meets compassion and science guides every decision. ❤️

From the delicate balance of heart failure in malignancy to the high-stakes management of heart failure in pregnancy, this year’s discourse illuminated the challenges at the intersection of cardiology, oncology, and maternal medicine. Each session underscored the precision, vigilance, and multidisciplinary care required when the heart bears the burden of life and disease. A gathering not just of knowledge—but of purpose. Advancing care where it matters most: when every heartbeat counts. 🩺
