LOOK: SOAR Volunteers signing off - SOAR Samaritans Signing on!
There comes a defining moment when an organization looks beyond what it has done and asks, Who are we becoming?
For years, SOAR Deployable Response Group has answered the call during disasters, emergencies, and times of uncertainty. We walked through floodwaters, carried the injured, searched for the missing, comforted the grieving, and stood beside communities in their darkest moments. We came as volunteers — ordinary people willing to give time, strength, and sacrifice so others may live.
But through every mission, we discovered something greater than volunteerism. We discovered the heart of a Samaritan.
Today, SOAR Deployable Response Group begins a new chapter.
We are no longer simply SOAR Volunteers. We rise as SOAR SAMARITANS.
This is more than a new tagline; it reflects who we have become.
A Samaritan is not defined by rank, profession, age, or status, but by the courage to move toward suffering when others walk away. To choose compassion over indifference, service over comfort, and hope over fear.
To be a SOAR Samaritan is not only to save lives, but to restore dignity, strengthen courage, and remind people they are not alone.
Today, we open our doors to all — students, professionals, workers, parents, retirees, and people from every walk of life — anyone willing to care, learn, and serve something greater than themselves.
As SOAR Samaritans, we commit to:

Beyond service, we pursue professional excellence through internationally aligned trainings from organizations such as American Safety & Health Institute, Committee for Tactical Emergency Casualty Care, Health & Safety Institute, Certified Learning & Development Professional (CLDP), in partnership with the Training Command, Philippine Army, 2nd Training Group, Philippine Army, CMO School, Philippine Army, and supported by certified instructors and realistic operational training that build disciplined, competent, and mission-ready responders.
Because training is not about certificates.
It is about preparing ordinary people to perform extraordinary acts when humanity needs them most.
