Today marks the official kickoff of the Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Training at the Training and Doctrine Command (TRACOM), Philippine Army! 🩺🚑

With future lifesavers in uniform and in spirit, this training aims to strengthen the emergency medical response capabilities of our uniformed personnel through internationally aligned standards and practical, hands-on learning.

We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to COL Sonny E. Gonzales GSC (INF) PA, G3, TRACOM, PA, for gracing us with his presence, and to our esteemed Guest Speaker, COL Henrito G. After seven days of rigorous training, simulations, and real-world medical scenario drills — the soldiers of TRACOM – Philippine Army have officially graduated from the Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) program facilitated by SOAR Philippines Training Institute!

This training journey tested not just their medical knowledge, but their discipline, leadership, teamwork, and presence of mind in high-pressure situations. From understanding the EMS system, mastering patient assessment, performing CPR, managing trauma, to leading in a full-scale Mass Casualty Incident (MCI) simulation — these warrior-medics have shown excellence and resilience every step of the way.

We commend each graduate for their unwavering focus, grit, and heart for service. You now carry with you the skills and mindset to be life-saving first responders — on and off the battlefield.

Day 5 of the Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) Training marked the culmination of an intensive week of learning for the soldiers of TRACOM – Philippine Army under the expert guidance of SOAR Philippines Training Institute. 💪🩺

This final day focused on a realistic Mass Casualty Incident (MCI) Simulation, testing each responder’s ability to:
🟥 Triage multiple patients under pressure
📋 Perform rapid assessments & prioritize care
🩻 Apply trauma and medical management learned in previous days
📄 Accurately document patient information using PCRs
🔄 Handover to higher-level responders for continued care
⏱️ Practice time management and team coordination in high-stress scenarios

🔥 Our simulation setup mirrored a real-world MCI scene — with chaos, limited resources, and time-sensitive decisions — pushing participants to integrate all their training from Days 1 to 4.

It was a display of discipline, skill, and quick thinking — preparing our soldier-responders to handle real-life emergencies in both combat and civilian environments. 🪖🚑

SOAR Philippines Training Institute continues its mission to strengthen emergency response capabilities with our ongoing Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) training for the dedicated troops of TRACOM – Philippine Army. 🪖👨‍⚕️🚑

🔎 Day 4 was centered on Patient Assessment and Time-Critical Decision-Making, covering:
✅ Scene Size-Up & Primary Survey
✅ History Taking using SAMPLE & OPQRST
✅ Vital Signs Monitoring & Head-to-Toe Secondary Assessment
✅ Time Management in Trauma and Medical Scenarios
✅ Proper and Accurate Documentation using Patient Care Reports (PCR)
✅ Effective Handover for Continuation of Care

💡 New this session: We introduced daily integration exercises where participants applied all previous lessons into real-time scenarios. Each soldier was challenged to think critically and add one skill at a time to their end-of-day assessments — reinforcing learning through consistent practice and situational awareness.

The combination of simulation, teamwork, and structured documentation prepares these frontline responders to make quick, informed decisions when it matters most. ⚕️⏱️

Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) Course – Day 3 Update!

Another mission-critical day of training for our courageous men in uniform! 🇵🇭🩹

On Day 3, our participants took a deep dive into managing soft tissue injuries, learning how to control bleeding and apply proper bandaging techniques—vital skills in both combat zones and civilian emergencies.

📚 Day 3 covered:
✅ Types of Soft Tissue Injuries (open wounds, abrasions, lacerations, avulsions, punctures, and more)
✅ “Stop the Bleed” Techniques – including direct pressure, wound packing, and tourniquet application
✅ Proper Bandaging Methods to protect wounds and prevent further injury or infection

Through hands-on practice and real-life scenarios, these soldiers sharpened their ability to respond swiftly and effectively when seconds count.

Every wrap, every compression, every action today could mean a life saved tomorrow.

Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) Course – Day 2 Highlights!

Another day of life-saving learning! 💥

On Day 2 of our Emergency Medical Responder Course, our valiant men in uniform from the Philippine Army were trained on the critical skills of Basic Life Support (BLS) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) use—essential tools in emergency care and cardiac arrest response. 🫀⚡

📚 Day 2 covered:
✅ Chain of Survival
✅ High-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants
✅ Airway management and rescue breathing
✅ Choking response
✅ Proper use of the AED in various emergency scenarios

With hands-on simulations and scenario-based drills, our participants demonstrated discipline, teamwork, and focus—qualities that make them outstanding emergency responders in the making.
