An entire Muslim family recently came to Jesus because the whole family had the same exact dream of Jesus Christ in the same night. Amir had recently been searching for truth about Islam and religion, and in desperation he cried out to God, “God if you’re alive, reveal yourself to me.” He was unprepared for what would happen next.

7 days later, he had a dream of Jesus Christ. When he woke up, he found out his mother and sister had the same exact dream about Jesus. “I didn’t even know who Jesus was. In Islam, you learn that Jesus was a prophet. We said God, what do you want to show us? We didn’t have a Bible, you can’t find Bibles in Iran. 5 hours later, a man knocked at our door and put a Bible on our table. He said God told me to come and bring you this Bible. He said Jesus is not only a prophet. Jesus is the Word of God, who became flesh. He came, he left Heaven, he died on the cross for you and I, for those who come to Him. Whoever believes in Him will be forgiven.”

My mother told him that we had all had a dream of Jesus at 5 AM this morning. The man started to weep for half an hour. He said, “It was at 5 AM that I heard the voice of Jesus in my room that said, ‘My Son, get up, take my word to Amir’s house. They are ready to hear my word today.”

Amir went on to say, “Jesus is alive! He is the living God! He came to give us life even in the countries that Jesus Christ is forbidden. Jesus is real. Worship him!”

Focus Is Important

Naranasan mo na bang matambakan ng pagkarami-raming trabaho at di mo na alam kung ano ang uunahin mo? Being too stressed and tired oftentimes blur our priorities and vision. Kaya kapag overwhelmed ka na sa dami ng responsibilidad at gawain, panahon na para ikaw ay huminto at muling magfocus.

Magandang araw, ako si Maloi Malibiran-Salumbides para sa Protips, partner mo sa inspiradong trabaho at negosyong umaasenso.

Ang taong focused sa kanyang trabaho ay mas productive kaysa sa taong napakaraming pinagkakaabalahan pero wala namang natatapos. Lahat naman tayo ay may limitadong panahon lamang. Kung gusto mong maging matalino sa paggamit ng iyong oras, kailangang-kailangan na matuto kang mag-focus. Saan naman tayo dapat magfocus?

1) Focus on your priorities. Napakahalagang maglaan ng ilang sandali sa simula ng araw mo para i-identify at i-review kung ano ang mga trabahong dapat mong unahin at tutukan. When you know your priorities it becomes easier to stay focused. Ang sabi ni Andy Stanley sa kanyang aklat na The Principle of Path: How to Get from Where You Are to Where You Want to Be “We don’t drift in good directions. We discipline and prioritize ourselves there.”

2) Focus on your work. Hindi naman masama ang mag-sideline. Kung talagang hindi mapagkasya ang iyong sweldo pantustos sa mga pangangailangan ng pamilya mo, talagang kailangang mayroon kang iba bang sources of income. But make sure that your sideline does not make you lose your focus on your full-time work. Ang sabi nga ni
Alexander Graham Bell, "Concentrate all your thoughts upon the work at hand. The sun's rays do not burn until brought to a focus."

3) Focus on your relationship with God. Isang quotation mula sa "Our Daily Bread" ay ganito ang sinasabi, "The only way to see life clearly is to focus on Christ." Sa isang seminar na aking ibinigay sa ilang kawani ng gobyerno na malapit ng magretiro, tinanong ko sila kung ano ang kanilang plano kapag retired na sila. Marami ang nagsabing, magiging seryoso na sila sa kanilang relationship sa Diyos. Di mo kailangang maghintay ng retirement age bago mo bigyang pansin o halaga ang ugnayan mo sa Diyos. Di nga ba't ang paalala sa atin sa Matthew 6:33 ay "But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.". Kapag naka-focus sa Diyos ang ating buhay, your priorities become clearer and your work more meaningful and happier.

Mahalaga na tayo ay may right focus. Focus on your priorities, focus on your work and focus on your relationship with God.

Time to Leave Your Comfort Zone

Paano mo malalaman kung sobrang kumportable ka na sa iyong trabaho at naging comfort zone mo na ito? Importante na tayo ay competent at confident sa ating ginagawa. Mahirap naman kung palagi tayong nangangapa at hindi nakasisiguro kung tama ba ang ginagawa natin. But if you have become too comfortable at work to the point of complacency and mediocrity, hindi rin naman katanggap-tanggap ito. We need to keep on growing and learning in our work and business.

Magandang araw! Ako si Maloi Malibiran-Salumbides para sa Protips, partner mo sa inspiradong trabaho at negosyong umaasenso.

Ang sabi ng motivational speaker at author na si Denis Waitley, "A dream is your creative vision for your life in the future. You must break out of your current comfort zone and become comfortable with the unfamiliar and the unknown." Maraming imperfections si Apostle Peter. Siya ay impulsive. Tatlong beses niyang binetray ang Panginoong Jesus. Mabilis siyang nagbibitiw ng mga salita bago pag-isipang mabuti ang mga ito. Ngunit sa kabila ng kanyang flaws, tanging si Peter lamang ang apostle na nakalakad sa tubig kasama ni Jesus. Bakit? Dahil siya ay handa na iwan ang kanyang comfort zone. Great things and experiences await those who are willing to step out of their comfort zone. Paano mo nga ba i-eencourage ang isang kaibigan o katrabao na huwag matakot lumabas sa kanyang comfort zone?

1) Stepping out of our comfort zone broadens our world. Nadaragdagan ang iyong karanasan, natutuklasan mo ang iba mo pang kakayahan kapag mayroon kang sinusubukang bago. Wala naman talagang mawawala sa iyo. Kung hindi mo magustuhan o hindi ka maging hiyang sa bago mong naranasan, you always have a comfort zone to go back to. Pero isipin mo na lamang kung mahusay ka pala sa isang bagay pero di mo ito nadiskubre dahil natakot kang sumubok? Nakapanghihinayang, di ba? Who you are today is so much more than what you can be. Step out of your comfort zone.

2) Growth is always accompanied by a little discomfort. Maraming babies ang nilalagnat kapag sila'y tutubuan na ng ngipin. Ang mga katawang well-toned at may well-developed muscles ay kailangang dumaan sa rigorous na ehersisyo. Ang isang halaman ay kailangang umusbong palabas sa comfort ng isang buto bago ito lumago at mamunga. May pagdaraanan tayong discomfort at pasakit kung gusto nating lumago. Kaya nga may tinatawag na growing pains, di ba? Kung gusto mong lumago, maging handa na lumabas sa iyong comfort zone.

3) Step out in faith when you step out of your comfort zone. Ang paglabas sa iyong comfort zone ay pagkakataon para iyong ipakita ang iyong tiwala sa Diyos. Maraming bagay ang lingid sa iyong kaalaman at labas sa iyong control. Ngunit lahat ng ito ay alam at kontrolado ng Diyos. Abraham stepped out in faith and left his comfort zone when God called him and he became the father of a multitude of nations?

Ngayon na ba ang panahon ng paglabas sa iyong comfort zone? It may take some discomfort and pain but it will surely broaden your world and give you an opportunity to exercise your faith in God.
