In view of the Metro Manila Council (MMC) and the Department of the Interior and Local Government's (DILG) declaration of state of calamity in the National Capital Region due to the devastating effects of Super Typhoon Carina and the southwest monsoon, and pursuant to Section 6 of the Price Act of the Philippines (RA 7581) as amended, please be informed that prices of basic necessities in the region are automatically frozen.

Consumers are encouraged to report any overpricing or violations to the DTI Consumer Care Hotline at 1-384 or email consumercare@dti.gov.ph.

In light of the Office of the President’s order to suspend work in government offices on 25 July 2024, the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) will announce by 6:00 a.m. of the same day whether it will provide the following services:

- Processing of currency-related transactions
- PhilPaSSplus operations
- Trading of USD/PHP and Monetary operations

These measures are to ensure continued support for the banking and financial sectors.
