Provincial DOH Physical Therapists of Davao del Norte together with Ms. Maria Lyn of Health and Wellness for Senior Citizen program and the rest of the Physical Therapists from Davao Region celebrate the First Filipino Elderly Week.

With the theme, "Honoring Invaluable Legacy of Filipino Senior Citizens", accentuates their contribution to the society and promotes their rights and welfare.

This year's celebration is our opportunity to show appreciation and respect to the stories and milestones of our elderly. Saludo po kami sa inyo!

Proclamation No. 470 on September 26, 1994, declared the first week of October every year as the 𝐄𝐋𝐃𝐄𝐑𝐋𝐘 𝐅𝐈𝐋𝐈𝐏𝐈𝐍𝐎 𝐖𝐄𝐄𝐊 (EFW) or Linggo ng Katandaang Filipino. The Department of Health Davao joins the celebration that underscores the vital role of the elderly sector in nation-building and the advocacy for the promotion of their rights and welfare.

The 2023 theme, "𝗛𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗟𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗰𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗙𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗼 𝗦𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗻𝘀" (Pagpasidungog sa Bililho'ng Kabilin sa mga Pilipinhong Katigulangan), emphasizes the contributions of Filipino Senior Citizens in contemporary society.

This year's celebration will highlight the stories of hope, triumphs, and milestones of senior citizens, showcasing their importance to families, communities, and society at large.

Karong semanaha, atong hatagan og pagtagad ang paghatag og bili sa mga katungod sa mga persons with disability sama sa katungod nila sa usa ka luwas, injury-free, ug accessible na komunidad!

Magtinabangay ta aron masiguro nga mahatag sa ilaha ang usa ka PWD-friendly ug sustainable na kaugmaon.

Do no Harm and put Safety first, tayo'y magkakaisa para sa isang lipunang maunlad at inklusibo para sa lahat na walang maiiwan.

Kauban ang atong Nutritionist-Dieticians sa pagpalambo sa programang pang-Nutrition ug Physical Therapy sa Munisipyo sa Carmen. Naghatag ug libreng counseling ang NDDPs sa pamilya sa kung unsay angay na diet sa pasyente samtang ga-buhat ug ehersisyo ang ilang pasyente.

Kita-kita ta karon July 21, 2023 para sa sunod na pagbisita namo. Duol lang kamo sa inyong Barangay Health Station para sa dugang na detalye. 🏃‍♂️🏋‍♀️🤸‍♂️
