I Have Ear Discharge — What Should I Do?

Ear discharge (or otorrhea) may be a sign of:
🔸 Infection
🔸 Injury
🔸 Eardrum perforation

❗ Don’t self-medicate or use cotton swabs. See an ENT specialist for proper diagnosis and treatment.

Prompt medical attention can prevent hearing loss.

What If My Eardrum is Damaged or Perforated?

Signs of a perforated eardrum may include:
🔸 Sudden hearing loss
🔸 Ear pain or ringing
🔸 Fluid discharge

What to do:
❌ Don’t get water in your ear
❌ Don’t self-clean
✅ See an ENT specialist right away

Some cases heal naturally, others may need surgery.
