At the remarkable age of 100, Antonia Valdez Fajardo peacefully joined her Creator on March 14, 2026 at Mount Sinai South Nassau in Oceanside, New York. She is now reunited in eternal rest with her beloved parents, Abundo Sr. and Petra; her loving husband, Angel; and her dear siblings, Vicente, Abundo Jr., and Eduardo.

A devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she leaves behind a legacy of love and faith. She will be deeply missed by her bereaved children: Wilhelmina; Virginia; Edgar & Rosemarie; Gil & Erlinda; and Salvador. She is also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren: Marie Angela & John Rhean, Kevin Bryan, and Rosalie Mae; and her great-grandson, Johan. She is survived by her siblings, Herminia and Jaime, along with numerous relatives and friends who cherish her memory.

Antonia was a dedicated and compassionate educator, having served as a retired elementary school teacher. Her life was a testament to service, humility, and unwavering faith in God.

Her body lies in state at 0692 Arellano Street, Magugpo Poblacion, Tagum City.

Interment will be held on Monday, April 6, 2026 at the Glorious Resurrection Memorial Park, Tagum City, following the 2:00 P.M. Funeral Mass at the Parish of Christ the Eucharistic King (PCEK), Rizal Street, Tagum City, Davao del Norte, Philippines.

Her family and loved ones request the grace of your prayers for the eternal repose of her soul.

Marcelina was a devoted servant of the Church. She served as the GKK President of MD2 Sta. Cruz, Rabe Compound, Visayan Village, Tagum City. She was also a member of the Banal na Pag-aaral, a generous donor to the Church, and a faithful churchgoer who supported the Benedictine Nuns. Her life was a reflection of her deep faith, generosity, and love for the community.
