๐ชโจRecognizing the vital role of young people in shaping a stronger, safer community, the Local Government Unit of Talacogon, led by Mayor Pauline Marie R. Masendo, RN, recently hosted a successful Youth Symposium. This crucial event focused on Drug Awareness, Mental Health, and Leadership, empowering student leaders to become agents of positive change.
๐ง ๐คThe symposium featured key figures including Vice Mayor Elvin L. Maligsa and Municipal Administrator Maโam Gina B. Gatab, alongside expert speakers: Agent Miko and Agent Diego from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), HEPO Designate and Mental Health Program Coordinator Designate Eric Jay T. Obeรฑita, RN from the Municipal Health Office of Talacogon, and Mario L. Campos, Vice President of ADSIPYO.
๐ฃ๏ธ The day's objectives were clear: to educate student leaders on the dangers of illegal drugs, promote the importance of mental health, and inspire responsible, active leadership within schools and communities.
๐ก Student officers from SSLG, YES-O, and Barkada Kontra Droga organizations across Talacogon actively participated, demonstrating their commitment to these vital causes.
