🗓️ June is National Dengue Awareness Month!
As the rainy 🌧️ season enters, let us be vigilant against Dengue Fever, a potentially deadly disease spread by Aedes aegypti mosquitoes
🦟 Dengue Mosquitoes breed in clean, stagnant water
🚫 There is no specific cure for dengue. Early detection and proper hydration are key to recovery.
⚠️ Watch out for symptoms: high fever, joint pain, rash, nausea, bleeding gums or nose, and extreme fatigue.
🩺 If you or a family member shows these signs, visit the nearest health center immediately!
🛡️ Follow the DOH 5S Strategy:
1. Search and destroy mosquito breeding sites.
2. Self-protect with mosquito repellents, nets, and long clothing.
3. Seek early consultation if symptoms appear.
4. Support fogging/spraying in hotspots, especially after rainfall.
5. Sustain hydration and healthy habits drink plenty of water to prevent complications and dehydration
