📌Marine Engineer/Automotive Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION:

1. To be able to work independently to execute engine repair and overhaul jobs on board/ at site

2. To perform measurement of items in workshop/on board/at site to conform with specs and highlight earliest practically possibility and remedy if off specs

3. To attend meeting with Sales Person and Customer to confirm work scope and clarify technical specification

4. To develop or to keep project delivery of targeted schedule and to report as soon as practical the delays to the operation manager or management whichever applicable

5. To lead the allocated manpower(in-house or outsourced), take charge of their discipline and safety during the period of work

6. To maintain logs of overtime incurred on project

7. To prepare and submit service report of allocated project to operation manager or management whichever application for review and quality check prior to submission to customers as proof of quality work completion

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

1. At least 3 years of work experience in Marine Engineering or Ship Repair field or equivalent field

2. HANDS ON experience in operation and maintenance of High and/or Medium speed engine

3. Able to travel overseas at short notices depend of project

4. Diploma or College Degree in Marine or Mechanical Engineer is preferred

5. Entry level candidates will be considered too ( no job experience )

6. Fluent in spoken and written English

AVP Marine and Industrial Services Inc. develops Ultrasonic Leak Test of Cargo Holds done by the approved Surveyors specially Trained by the Makers.

- ULTRASONIC LEAK TEST

An Ultrasound transmitter is placed in the empty hold or on top of the cargo stow with the hatch covers closed fully cleated and battened. The Transmitter inside Cargo Hold will emit Ultrasonic waves and Ultrasound receiver is then moved by the Surveyor around the other sides of cover and the cross-joints to locate any leaks.

The effectiveness of a hatch cover tester is determined by the amount of sound energy that reaches the hatch cover, which is in turn determined by a combination of the primary dispersion pattern from the emitter and the secondary reflection pattern.
