We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to our psychometrician, Ms. Sonella Mi Lapiz, RPm, CMHFR, for imparting her knowledge during the "Disability-Inclusive Disaster Risk Reduction Training", on March 27, hosted by Ramon Aboitiz Foundation, Inc. (RAFI) in partnership with A2D Project and the Cebu DiDRR Network.

It was a day filled with meaningful learning, and your insights are valuable in responding to individuals with psychosocial disabilities during times of crisis.

Leaders shape first responses.

This session focused on practical psychological first-aid for managers: how to recognize trauma responses, hold brief supportive conversations, make reasonable adjustments for affected staff, and communicate calmly under pressure.

We practiced role-plays and concrete scripts so leaders could return to work ready to listen, support, and link colleagues to care.

We had the honor of facilitating a powerful team building session for Veterans Educating Veterans that strengthen relationship and renewed shared purpose last January 15–16, 2026 in Buyong Beach, Lapu-Lapu City.

The activity was expertly facilitated by our very own Sir Kirk Patrick Castro and Sir Jan Ruselle Jayme, with valuable support from our MA intern, Miss Rose Cutamora. It was a meaningful experience filled with collaboration, learning, and strengthened camaraderie, all in service of VEV's inspiring mission.
