This year, the Mental Health Youth Hub PH joins the global call with the theme:
โChanging the Narrative on Su***de.โ ๐
Su***de is not just a statistic; it is a reality that affects families, friends, schools, and communities. Yet, behind every number is a name, a story, a life worth living. And this is why we need to change the narrative.
Changing the narrative means moving away from silence and stigma, and moving toward understanding, acceptance, and hope. It means opening up conversations that many of us are afraid to have, and reminding one another that asking for help is never a weakness, it is an act of courage.
๐ฌ A simple โKumusta ka?โ can spark healing.
๐ A few minutes of genuine listening can save a life.
๐ค Reaching out, even in small ways, can remind someone: Ikaw ay mahalaga. You are not alone.
This month, we call on all young people, leaders, schools, families, and communities:
โจ Listen with compassion. Words matter, but presence matters more.
โจ Break the stigma. Talk openly about mental health, just like we do about physical health.
โจ Take action. Share resources, start conversations, and be the voice of hope in your circles.
๐ Together, letโs create a culture where no one feels invisible, unheard, or unloved.
Together, letโs stand as a generation that chooses life, hope, and healing.
๐ฑ This September and beyond, join us in the movement to . Share this post, reach out to a friend, and be the reason someone chooses to stay.
๐ Ikaw ay mahalaga. Your story matters. Your life matters.
