Exciting news, Misamis Occidental! 🌟
We’re thrilled to unveil the brand-new logo for the Perangat Festival—a vibrant celebration of our rich cultural heritage and the Province’s vision for progress under the Asenso Misamis Occidental leadership! 🎉
At the heart of the design are two dancers, adorned in traditional Subanen attire from our indigenous community, gracefully performing Subanen dance steps. Behind them rises the majestic Mt. Malindang Range, symbolizing the enduring natural beauty and resilient strength of our province. 🏞️💃🕺
The red and yellow banners proudly display our provincial development thrust—the 5 Ms: Misamisnon Magpuyong Malinawon, Malambuon ug Malipayon. This guiding framework inspires collective action toward economic growth, social harmony, and joyful communities, paving the way for programs from the Provincial Government like free hospitalization for over 100,000 Misamisnons, close to 3,000 OFOP Scholars, booming rice yields through the Asenso Rice Farmers Full Assistance Program (ARFFA), expansive road networks, strategic tourism development, and other impactful programs.
The “rickrack” lining in red, yellow, and green, along with the overall color palette, honors the hues of the Subanen tribe while symbolizing our shared journey toward pag-asenso. And, like the even waves on a calm sea, it reflects the ups and downs we navigate together—always moving forward with grace and unity.
For continuity, we’ve kept the iconic font from the original Perangat Festival logo.
And finally, introducing our fresh tagline: “Sayaw sa Pag-Asenso”—a nod to the dance of progress, perfectly capturing the essence of “Perangat,” which means “Progress” in our local dialect. 📈✨
Join us in embracing this symbol of unity, culture, and growth!
