A case of a 40/M who had an accident from a metal grinder. The patient sustained injury at the right anterior foot that transected the muscles and tendon. Patient was directed to the operating room. We controlled the bleeding and somehow managed to locate the transected tendon that connects the muscle and the 1st digit of the foot.

Don’t forget to use protective gears.

A case of a 7/F with retained foreign body (Crayon) at the left nostril. Good thing we managed to remove it with forceps.
To all parents out there, always supervise your children, because during this time they tend to explore and experiment. They tend to eat, taste and swallow anything. Place any object in their nose, ears and mouth. They could even die from aspiration.

A case of a 50/M with Diabetic Foot. The patient underwent Debridement of Necrotic/ Dead Tissue. After 1 week of Antibiotic treatment, blood sugar control and meticulous wound care, the wound eventually started to granulate. The wound healed after approximately 10 weeks of follow up.

A case of a 50/F with Stage III Breast Cancer. Underwent modified Radical Mastectomy (Breast Surgery). The operation went well. Clear surgical margins with adequate axillary lymph node dissection. Currently she is on Adjuvant Chemotherapy And Radiotherapy. 🙏🏻

It may seem simple, but it took us hours to remove the needle. Due to financial constraint, we can’t proceed with CT Scan Guidance, so we improvised just to localize the foreign body.

Yesterday, we were given a chance to save 4 beautiful lives.

1st, a 47 y/o female with stage IIIB breast cancer
2nd, a 5 y/o male with ruptured appendicitis
3rd, a 68 y/o female with a wound that doesn’t heal and bleeds continously
4th, a 37 y/o female with appendicitis (not ruptured)

Pagod, pero di susuko at hindi mag rereklamo.

A case of 40 y/o female with necrotic skin and muscle tissue located at the back. Due to uncontrolled diabetes, the infection got worsened. We did debridement and remove a large amount of tissue. With daily wound care and frequent follow ups, the large hole was filled with regenerated tissue and was covered with scar.

A case of 20 y/o male who had an accident while repairing an E-bike. His fingers were caught while repairing chains. There were tissue loss and bleeding. We urgent debridement at the emergency room and manage to stop the bleeding. After frequent follow-ups, tissue regenerated and after a year, a completely healed wound and function of the fingers restored.

So work safely by using protective gears. ⛑

This is a case of 32 yo female, who had a chronic infection on the 2nd finger. At first glance it seemed surgical already but we tried medical management with antibiotics. After weeks of observation, the wound stop producing pus and inflammation subsided.

Sometimes surgery is not the only answer to every wound. We just need to give antibiotics a shot and sometimes we can spare our body from surgery. Always seek consult from your expert physicians as early as possible to prevent further complications.

As the saying goes:

“ An average surgeon knows how to operate,
A good surgeon knows when to operate,
and BEST Surgeon knows when NOT to operate.”
