If a hyperactive ADHD or Autism student switches activities during structured time, it’s a sign they may be seeking important developmental experiences. Neuroscience shows that a child’s brain instinctively seeks out activities essential for new neural connections, adaptability, and growth—almost as if their survival depends on it.

It’s important to remember that a diagnosis of autism does not change who your child is at their core. The Autism Spectrum framework can provide insights into their unique strengths and challenges, guiding you to the right resources. With support, they can thrive, find love, and enjoy life to the fullest. Their potential is limitless!

ā€œAusome Teachersā€ is not a standard term or phrase. It refers to super teachers who are particularly effective, inspiring, or make a positive impact on their ADHD, SLD, and Autism Spectrum students. Our point is, if being kind is the real punk rock, then our kind and loving ā€œausomeā€ Teacher Justine🤘has always been a punk rocker!šŸ‘šŸ‘šŸ‘

Hyperactivity and impulsivity in ADHD can disrupt family life by increasing stress and causing conflicts, especially in parent and sibling relationships. Guiding children to responsibly release their energy, express tense emotions, and navigate sensory discomfort from their bodies and surroundings can lead to more language and communication abilities and positive interactions within the family.

When there’s a mismatch between an adult’s approach to a child’s unmet needs, problem behaviors often arise in ADHD and Autism; however, a good match can enhance regulation and positive behaviors.

2ļøāƒ£ Can challenging behaviors lead to executive functioning growth? šŸ¤”

When students experience tantrums or explosive anger, it often indicates feelings of overwhelm or threat. Instead of simply trying to stop these behaviors, we can see them as protective actions and offer our calmness, resist the urge to panic or lecture, and understand their feelings to co-regulate with them—the first step in teaching the child emotional regulation.

Co-regulation occurs when individuals’ nervous systems interact to foster emotional connection and well-being. So parents, teachers, coaches, therapists and other mentors play a crucial role in shaping a child’s emotional regulation, impulse control, and perspective-taking—all essential to developing retention and executive functioning.

A 2015 Rotterdam study reveals a strong link between ADHD behaviors and entrepreneurial intentions. Analyzing 10,104 higher education students, researchers found that individuals with higher ADHD-like traits are more inclined to pursue entrepreneurship, with risk-taking playing a key role in this connection.

Unfortunately, our current treatment methods often aim to make individuals compliant, restrict their expression, and confine them to assigned areas—much like expectations for employees. This approach underestimates the potential of those with ADHD to thrive through their curiosity, natural need for movement, exploration, and risk-taking—essentially entrepreneurial qualities. By overlooking these strengths, we may hinder their growth and success.

About Us

For the past 4 years we have provided Reading Solutions For All and Special Needs Tutoring to hundreds of children in Antipolo. Our brain-based learning accelerates comprehension and improves motivation of students, particularly those with memory and attention issues. Our qualified teachers build rapport by empathizing with our students, rather than judge them, during times of anxiety or confusion. Though we are not a school, our center builds partnerships with families and schools to promote responsible and enhanced inclusive programs for students with learning disability, developmental delay, autism, ADHD, and other learning styles.
