For 18 years, PECI has quietly stood at the forefront of eye care. In 2007, we became the first in the region to offer Laser Indirect Ophthalmoscopy (LIO) for Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP)—a vision-saving treatment that helps prevent blindness in premature infants. If the babies are too sick to leave the Neonatal ICU, our dedicated staff can transport this laser unit to various hospitals in the city or island, wherever it is needed.
