BENGUET SNARES 10-12-3 GOLD-SILVER-BRONZE ON DAY 1
The Benguet Stingers got off to a good start on the first day of stiff competitions of the ongoing 2025 CARAA Meet as the host province snared 10 gold, 12 silver, and 3 bronze medals behind Baguio City which has 27-13-12 G-S-B medal tally as of 9:00 pm of February 24, based on the partial official tally released by DepEd CAR's official CARAA website.
The elementary boys' athletes netted 5 gold medals on the first day thanks to the gold medalists in the 400 meter run, 110 meter hurdles, chess team blitz game, and the swimming's 100 meter backstroke, and 50 meter butterfly.
The elementary girls' athletics produced two gold medals from the discus throw and the 400 meter run while the distaff side in the secondary level got one gold from the discus throw event.
The secondary boys contributed two gold medals for the day from the victories of the woodpushers in the Chess Blitz individual and team events. - Mac B. Malanes
