Today, February 17, 2025, the Psychology and Sciences Department of the School of Education, Criminology, Arts, and Psychology (SECAP) invited OASIS Psychological Testing and Counseling Center, represented by our clinical psychologist and administrator, Perpetua I. Tobias, to participate as a feedback contributor during the Professional Internship Culminating Experience Program. As one of the partner agencies of the University for the internship of the Psychology students, it was an honor to attend this Exit Conference, sharing insights and experiences we had with the students. We are confident that the insights shared by various advisors will bear fruit and have a lasting impact on the future endeavors of the interns. We hope that this feedback will guide their growth and development in their future careers.

“Restoring Hope and Healing Through Compassion”
“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” – Psalm 147:3

In celebration of the 37th Prison Awareness Month, a Mental Health Awareness Activity was held on November 29 and 30 at Cagayan Provincial Jail (CPJ) and the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP). The event engaged Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL) in hope-filled activities while promoting mental health awareness, self-care, and resilience. A total of 30 inmates from BJMP and 257 inmates from CPJ participated, fostering a spirit of healing and productivity.

The outreach program provided heartfelt lectures, offering participants the hope and encouragement to overcome the challenges they face and find inner strength. The activities focused not only on raising awareness but also on teaching practical tools for emotional well-being, helping the PDLs gain valuable coping strategies to manage stress and improve their overall mental health.

We sincerely thank Catalino V. Arugay, Warden of the Cagayan Provincial Jail, and the staff of BJMP and CPJ for their warm hospitality and invaluable collaboration, as well as JCI Junior Chamber-Tuguegarao Ybanag for their partnership and support.

Special thanks to Mrs. Perpetua I. Tobias, and the Cagayan State University Masteral of Psychology interns, for their insightful lectures and guidance. We also extend our gratitude to the 4th-year BS Psychology interns from the University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao for their enthusiasm and efforts.

This event served as a powerful reminder that, even in challenging circumstances, hope and healing are always within reach! May God be his glory!

“He can turn a barren wilderness into an oasis with water; he can make springs flow into desert lands and turn them into fertile valleys so that cities spring up.” Psalm 107:35-36.

On October 27, 2024, we embarked on a heartfelt journey, leaving the highway behind and stepping into a serene sanctuary. We are overjoyed to share that our place of healing has now found its new home on Carag Street, Caggay, Tuguegarao City!

This move marks a fresh chapter filled with gratitude for safety, blessings, and the promise of new beginnings. In this beautiful new space, we look forward to creating an even brighter and more fruitful future together.

Our hearts are full as we thank everyone who joined us in celebrating this milestone.

Special thanks to Pastor Ruel Te, whose words of faith and blessings reminded us of the Lord’s hand in every step of this journey. Also to our passionate head and administrator Ma'am Petty Tobias who has always been steadfast and zealous in channeling the improvement of our service and well-being.

Once again, we thank everyone who waited for this wonderful event to come to reality, we thank you all from the bottom of our hearts!
